Camera Goggles make great Christmas Gifts

Watching documentaries of the beautiful marine life in the oceans around the world makes me appreciate the efforts of the photographers, at the same time marvel at the advancement of technology particularly the camera equipment they use.

Speaking from a layperson's point of view, I suppose with camera goggles, any novice can take pictures under the water although they may turn out a little less professional. What do you think?

Incidentally, Christmas is not too far away but enough time to make an order of such a camera if you are looking for such a gift for a photography enthusiast, be it family member or friend. He or she would be forever grateful for this hands-free camera which can be used for filming or taking digital images. He/she can go snorkeling, spearfishing, free-diving, or scuba diving with it. What fun!

School is Out in Malaysia

School is out for this academic year, last Friday being the last day of school. School holidays do have an impact in the office. You can tell when people come to work early and less stressed as parents do not need to get up extra early braving traffic jams sending their children to school. What a relief it must be for parents.

It's little wonder my colleagues are in a better mood today, just short of celebrating with a padron cigar. LOL

It will be another some seven weeks before the cycle begins again. Enjoy it while you can, parents!

Genting Highlands is still the place to visit when in Kuala Lumpur

Genting Highlands is still a great local holiday destination. I like it for its close proximity to Kuala Lumpur. Just an hour's drive will take you right up to the top of the City of Entertainment as Genting Highlands is known as.




The climate is still cool and it offers a reprieve from the heat and humidity of the city. When I was there late July, the thermometer at the lobby of First World Hotel showed a cool 15degC. For comfort, a sweater, a scarf or a little extra clothing may be required.

Starbucks at the entrance of First World Hotel is still the place to hang out for a cuppa though I wish people would use the e cigarette instead. The air outdoor leaves much to be desired. Have you been to Genting Highlands lately? Photos taken will follow in another post..

Travelling to a country in Winter on holiday is not exactly my idea of an ideal holiday. I prefer to travel light and dress light - no fuss about winter clothing or extra extra layers. Plus, who doesn't like some sunshine..

Beijing is one of my top destinations to visit in China but it won't be a Winter visit, mind you. Nowadays, there is no shortage of travel agencies selling packages for china tours. Did you know that policemen in Rome are wearing uniform designed by Giorgio Armani? How cool is that! Italy is indeed the fashion capital of the world!

If you like history and art, Europe is a fabulous place to visit. Escorted tours are aplenty. You would be spoilt for choice for europe tours. Port Dickson can be a great holiday destination too

Many of us travel the world in search of new sights, new tastes, new holiday experiences forgetting that some of the best of these can be found in our very own land. Life is like that. The grass is always greener on the other side.

While on a trip to Port Dickson, my friends and I visited a number of hotels and resorts along that stretch along the beach. Most of these places are impressive with their own private beach; outstanding spa and pool facilities that are on par with some of KL's best, probably the world too, I suspect; chalets by the sea reminiscent of those you see on Bora Bora brochures; sunsets that promise a romantic evening ahead.

They even have rooms as refreshing as the one in the image below found at Outer Banks rentals. I came across this delightful, bright and airy ocean-front room while going through some holiday rental sites.
