The building loomed in the near distance during our stroll through Jardin du Luxembourg, so we headed in that direction. After waiting in line for about a minute, JoAnna lost her nerve, her fear of heights (more specifically, having to look down from a great distance) taking over. A panoramic photo of the glass-enclosed observation deck on the roof of the 57-story building, displayed above the ticket counter, sent her heading for the nearest cafe.
Andy, Eddie, and I enjoyed the spectacular 360 view, though blustery winds left me feeling a bit unsteady on my feet.
