Our original plan was to visit the Musee D'Orsay, as was thousands of other visitors to Paris. A small plaza at the entrances was packed solid with people waiting in two, hard-to-distinguish, snaking lines. The instruction in our Paris Pass guidebook, "avoid the queues by showing your pass at entrance C". People were waiting to be let in here, too.
The museum's popularity was most likely due to the fact that all other major Paris museums are closed on Tuesdays.
Plan B then -- Plan A on any other day -- included Musee de l'Ordre de la Liberation, Napoleon's Tomb at Les Invalides, Rodin Museum, and Jardin des Tuileries.
