Island-hopping around Singapore

In Singapore when the pace gets too hectic to handle, there are islands around it to escape to for some peace and quiet.

Pulau Ubin is one of 63 islands (didn't know there are so many) that make up the city-state of Singapore whose citizens make up about 63% of the 5.2million people. (Source: Wikipedia)

Here is a lovely sunset scene on Pulau Ubin.

As dusk shrouds Pulau Ubin, "mainland" Singapore lights up the horizon.

Batam Island - where the fine white sand and sparkling waters of Melur Beach are arguably the finest in the area.
